You can pay your utility bills through our Personal Internet Banking, Phone Banking or ATM services.

Are there any charges?

The Utility Bill Payment service is offered free of charge. No fees are charged for registration or processing of your bills.

How do I register for Bill Payments?

If you are already registered for Personal Internet Banking, you can start registering your Consumer Reference Number online by selecting the Pay Bills option from the Personal Internet Banking navigation bar.

If you want to use our Phone Banking or ATM services for your Bill Payments, please contact one of our Phone Banking Representatives at 800 HSBC (4722) to assist you with the registration of your Consumer Reference Number for utility bill payments.

How do I register the utility service company using Personal Internet Banking?

Please select the Add Payee option under the Pay Bills menu. Input the full name or part of the name of the utility service company and press search. A selection of utility service companies will appear.

Select the utility service company you want to register your Consumer Reference Number by clicking on the appropriate company (for E-Vision, please select "Etisalat" as the utility bill company). During the registration process, you should keep your current bills near you for reference.

You have to key in your Consumer Reference Number with the respective utility service company (can be found on the Utility Service Bill).

How do I start paying my bills?

You can start paying your utility bills using:

Personal Internet Banking
Click on "Pay Bills" at the left-hand navigation bar and then click "Bill Payment" and follow these steps:

Select the Utility Bill you want to pay

Select the Account you want to debit to pay your Utility Bill

Enter the payment amount

Enter details of the payment in the "Memo" field (optional)

Click "Send" and you will be taken to the confirmation screen to review all details of the payment

Click "Confirm" after your verified all the details of the payment and you will be taken to the acknowledgement screen. Please print this screen in case you need to refer to the transaction details later. This screen contains the transaction reference number for the payment

Phone Banking
Once you have registered your consumer reference number, you can use the Phone Banking Service on 800 HSBC (4722) to pay your utility bills from your bank account.

Choose your preferred language

Press "1" to choose "HSBC customer already holding Cards and Accounts"

Press "2" for "Bank Account Services"

Enter your 10-digit Personal Banking Number followed by the hash ("#") key

Enter your 6-digit Phone Banking Personal Indentity Number

Press "2" for "Transfer and Payments"

Press "3" for "Bill Payments"

Select the bills you wish to pay

Please enter the amount you wish to pay using the hash ("#") key as the decimal point

ATM
Once you have registered your consumer reference number, you can use the ATM Service on 800 HSBC (4722) to pay your utility bills from your bank account.

Insert your ATM Card

Enter your ATM PIN

Select "Other Services"

Select "Utility Bill Payments"

Select Utility Service Company

Select the consumer number that you wish to pay

Select the account you would like to pay from

Key in the amount you would like to pay and press "Enter"

How many days before the due date should I pay my bill?

Please schedule bill payments at least 3 working days before they are due to avoid any disconnection and / or late fees as the payment needs 3 working days to be settled at the utility service company.

Do I have to pay the full bill amount?

It is recommended to pay the exact amount as indicated on your bill. Payments less than the actual bill amount might result in disconnection of the utilty sevice.

Can I pay someone else's utility bill?

Yes. You will have to add the utility service company with the other person's Consumer Reference Number under your Add Payee options.
